I'm using a 2GByte Memorystick Pro Duo. So no 1GB Limit. I think it can hande up to 32Gbyte, as soon as such sticks get available.
Speaker is really loud if you want to have it. Depends on the MP3 files. If they have little gain, no phone can do anything about that. But use MP3gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/) to boost up any MP3 file as you like. With this tool you also can normalize albums or any number of tracks.
It's a great phone, especially since I debranded it...

Well I would of given you my first thoughts on the V800 but carphone warehouse (despite me having an invoice saying rapid delivery on the 14th) have now called me to say that the phone hasnt arrived at the store and is unlikely to arrive until Wednesday....I am sooo dissapointed.

Yup, market haven't sell 2GB pro duo yet.. You r Genius to get this? We know that it is supported to 2GB at this moment.. cause i see the spec in Cebit Hannover in Z800 stated supportted up to 2GB Pro Duo Memory Stick.

I got this 2GB stick from Swisscom Innovations, while I'm doing some testing for them. It's a Sony pre-market model, but it works perfekt. I have to give it back, though end of this month

Finally got it!!! Love it so far....soldily built....good keypad for txting etc....was dissapointed with the fact that not only mp3 ringtones have to be drm but my own owned mp3's have to be DRM'd to play but with the DRM packager got that sorted!!!
Don't seem to have an external up and down bar equaliser on the outside screen as I have seen but I think eventually I will get it flashed to a Z800i!!!!
All in all fantastic phone!!!
