@debu, there is a restriction, but for streaming only data profile is important not internet.
Nope the full internet profile is required for streaming, pop3 is the only service that requires just data account(an igprs apn that is). Can you airtel people stream anything else besides the content at "airtel live"??

That is when you an igprs apn in which case its the data acc is same as internet profile. It also has an option of proxy use ie it requires internet profile and not just data acc. In contrast if you check pop3 settings it allows you to select only a data acc...no proxy etc can be used.
Btw try this link for streaming on phone

Yup. You are correct. Got the diff now. Btw, it can connect to media server, but cannot stream. Any proxy settings to be used? I changed from live to MO and use MO to connect.

I can stream from winamp, real player etc on pc(when using gprs modem) btw so that means even hutch supports streaming...it wont work with default hutchworld settings i guess because its a
wap gateway but dont think hutch-access people should have any problems as well. Winamp is very reliable when streaming from its server...real player works only at night ie when speed has crossed at least 30kbps which is fair i guess as its streaming video not audio.
PS: I was searching for this thread, thought it got deleted when it got moved from general
