right,
uninstalled and reinstalled. Can see the phone, it asks me to back up etc.
Go throught the process on the SE website, and it just sits there, blank screen with no applet running in the bottom LHcorner....
Im on XP Home service pack 2. It says SP1 on the page where you tick the boxes though. This surely wony be causin this will it?
Mailed SE, but havent even got an automated reply!

It just sounds like u need to wait a bit longer it took nearly 8 mins before my pc did anything and thats running on broadband just give it time and be patient with it i tried it on 3 different pc's before i realised all i had to do was wait.
