Its just a count down timer waiting to be exploded with a explosion force equalvalant to a C4... totally nothing to worry about...

I see ur still on with the futile search for an explanation. I don't think u'll find one, just a bug that can't be explained.

It's never done it before but today i noticed the red LED on the side of my S700 has started flashing like a service light. My battery is not flat so it is not because of this. Any of you guys give me any clues?

I had that problem. The LED on mine still flashes even though the battery level indicator is more than 75%

hmmm... never had that problem on my phone. but try testing the LED lights in the service menu, then exit. perhaps it will shut the thing off?

Yeah I think SE do need to ressurect the flashing LED for SMS / missed call notification.

Its pretty hard to see the icons on the sleep-mode clock.

I agree, jfunk. On my T65, one glance at the phone told me if I had a msg or missed call - now it's much trickier. I need to squeeze the volume keys to light the otherwise indistinguishable SMS icon.

it's a definite bug .mine does it too, but after I restart it, the led is stopped. nothing else.
just that the phone is begging for more attention...
