Yes, providing you have the docking station installed on your PC, you might be able to update your firmware on the www.sonyericsson.com website. However, if your phone is branded by your network provider, you might have to take it to a serive centre to have it flashed.

P910 does not run Windows software or Pocket PC software, it runs it's own UIQ software.

you cannot get the P910 > P900 (P905) firmware updated by Sony it is an unofficial hack, this cannot be done online but by a physical cable connected to your phone.

You need to try to find someone local to you who can do this or you will be posting your phone abroad.

search the forum for P905.

I believed he's trying to ask how he can update his P900 to P910 firmware of the SE website. You can't.

Ah, I think I understand now...

The firmware does not load into memory when you switch on the phone like windows does. It is permanently stored on a microchip within the phone. Having said that, the microchip can be 'flashed' with newer versions of the firmware, but you don't 'install' it like you do with windows.

This means that you can't have windows or any other operating system on the P910, only Symbian UIQ. But you can have the latest version of symbian UIQ either by using the special utility on sonyericsson's website or by taking it to a service centre.

You can install lots of different software applications for the P910, but you can't use windows programs with the P910. They have to be made especially for the Pxxx series of phones.
