Evening all!

I happen to have a couple Duo Pros, one of them being the 1Gb 'gaming' duo pro. only got it a few days back Works fine just as well as the usual San Disk 512 card i have speed is the same everything is the same. I think its just branding to appeal to PSP users that is all.

I actually have a 256 Duo Pro which came with my digi cam thats balck with red and silver text looks cool but their all the same. Even heard that their all pressed on the same prodcution line both sony and san disk products!

The Gaming pro duo memory sticks run faster than the common memory stick. That's why it cost more. You also might wanna compare Sandisk and Sony's lifespan, compatibility and so on. I"m also planning to get a 1Gb card, preferably Sony.

If you guys are interested, Check it out in eBay, Sandisk 1Gb selling at max A135. I think with some bidding might pull the price even lower. The Sony however are a little bit more costly, but you can get them shipped from the US at around A110+ at bidding without shipping.

just called up Sony Ericsson in Australia and asked them if the 1GB gaming duo pros are compatible with the p910i. The technician replied "NO" but the 1GB normal duo pros are. Can anyone else confirm this?

cheers

They'd be wrong then.
Since none of the technology has changed in the card, the only thing they could base their answer on is their P910i not liking the colour. Last I checked there wasn't a setting for "hate fluro coloured memory sticks"

I have a yellow gaming 1Gb duo (thank god it's hidden when in the phone!), and it works just fine.
