Has someone managed to reconfigure the SETUP.INI-file so it works!?
I have even tried to install the software on a computer running under win 2000 pro and another running under Win NT4...

I had the same problem. Solved it by getting a USB card reader.

I was a little reluctant to by this player since I use Windows-xp read about the problems here the forums. And yes, the driver on cd does not work under win-xp.

But then I went to wap.sonyericsson.com and downloaded the newest software (login is required) and it DOES work under windows-XP (at least the English version, I am using).

http://wap.sonyericsson.com/emi_download/Hpm-10/Ppmmc.zip

If it doesn't work:

1. you go to wap.sonyericsson.com
2. login (sign up if you are not already registered)
3. Under Ericsson-software you choose HPM-10
4. the above link will now appear

hope this help

You are right it is slow. Especial when it is detecting the card.

But I got the player cheap and don’t want to spend the same amount on an additional reader/writer.

The enclosed reader/writer get the job done and I can live with the speed as long as it only 32MB. However, I would reconsider if I had a 128MB-card or other gadgets using flash-ram.
