I have never beaten the phone, and I have always had it on beginner. Either Im very crap or the phone is very good. Or both.
After about 3 games I get P!SSED OFF and give up.

I'm only a novice so I dont know how to tell you exactly.
I start with king's pawn out 2
red does the same
I send my white bishop out to 4th row
red moves king out (not sure why)
I send queen right out to 5th row
red panics and moves king out again
I send my queens pawn out 2, treatening red's pawn
red's pawn takes me (I'm not proud!)
I send black bishop out to 4th row - CHECK!
Red's king heads left1
I send my Queen left to the 2nd from last column
CHECK MATE!
Sadly on higher skill levels Red isnt quite so stupid!
I bet you cant beat Mate in 6 moves just the same...!

I play the game when I'm bored. I always beat it but I tend to play a long positional game.
It makes silly mistakes on Selma.
