yeah join the club! Dont be so hard on yourself, come my son, be a newbie with me. Just look at the 2000+ member list with about 1900 having 0-3 posts. Sorry for off topic. The plastic rubber bit is tough, as you know you pull from the battery side to the keypad side, i pulled the other way for ten minutes, almost ruined it. But its fine and in full working order.
