Sounds like a worn out battery. Lithium cells oxidize with age and charging. Lifespan is dependant on number of charge cycles and temperature- hotter=shorter life. Guess that's one reason to not carry phones in trouser pockets! There's also no need to fully discharge before recharging, in fact, it may age the battery quicker than more regular shallow charges.

Residentevils answer is very viable.The p900 can often play funny games.As stupid as it sounds,you could also try removing and re-inserting the msd while the phone is switched on.Make sure all 3rd party apps are disabled though.The final step imo would be a internal drive format....I'm pretty certain one of these steps will cure this minor but nagging problem. I agree with k700nut as it seems to me more like a phone and not a battery problem. Based on the two mentioned observations, its a metering issue of the phone. The battery seems ok the complaint shows that he battery still holds charge.
