Does the backlight stay illuminated while the call comes in?

Just received replacement from SE, 05W08 and has R1A on unit but box indicates R1B. No joy, it does the same thing as the one I sent in, just lights for a second but not long enough to read the display in low light. The backlight works great and long when turning it on and displaying the Akono name though...

I received my replacement HBH-660 yesterday, but still no backlight on incoming calls. Same firmware as previous, R1D. Reflashed P910a, still no backlight. I guess the next step is to try to replace the phone, or send it in to be repaired.

I found out something.
I am using 910a and 660.
When I was using 910a with R3A firmware and HBH-660 with R1A, I had no problem at all with the backlite as mentioned in this thread. I could see the incoming caller's name and backlite for couple second.
But after I have updated my 910a firmware to R4A, the problem comes up. Whenever i received a call, the HBH-660 displays the incoming caller and backlite for 0.00001 second. After that the name changes to a "Handset" icon, backlite off and it stays there forever until the other party hangs up or conversation is over.
It is very annoying. Does anyone having the same problem?

Yes, this is exactly the problem I'm having. My brother's HBH-660 with firmware R1C works with my P910a, my new HBH-660 with firmware R1D has the backlight issue.

Do you think this problem will be fixed in the next firmware update?
