My phone is from the us but as mentioned its not the latest version. Anyone think i should send it in for an upgrade ?

Just to stick my oar in...
From what I gather from other posts to this board the state of GSM networks in the US leaves a lot to be desired in places, so perhaps
have released more s/w versions in the States to accomodate bug fixes with the various networks..?
I have a T68i with R2E006 preloaded - if anybody in Europe has a later version please write here and let us know what the updates are!
