Anything to do with internet or netowrking is linksys as they are the best, or if you want wireless, NETGEAR are also very good

linksys has been good for me. i've used a linksys hub and router for a couple of years now (never turned off actually! except for occasional restart). support is good but not great - depends on who you talk to. if you have problems keep calling back until you get a good tech person.

What kind of router doesnt support wep keys

what model d-link is it?

anyway netgear have the best and so do linksys but remember if you buy one make sure it is correct for your bt line so buy an ADSL router do not get it mistaken for a DSL router

i have the bt wireless router will soon be changing to a netgear

well you will need a wireless router and the laptop has to have wireless capability e.g. on board wifi adapter or a seperate one

I have a Compaq Notebook with WLAN built in (Intel Centrino), D-Link 302g ADSL (Broadband) Modem and Belkin Wireless Router.
Nothing else needed.

Belkin router covers distance of 100m - much stronger than Bluetooth.
Connection is ultra-reliable, though dodgy D-Link Modem occasionally needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to establish internet connection.

Belkin router came with CD-ROM that was so simple to use even I could install it. Bought on sale for NZ$89.95. WLAN is most trouble-free computing item I've had to deal with since I bought this, my first computer, in March this year.
