when you installed xp because you said your pc was messed up did you do a clean install? there might be a problem with the xp you had before so if it wasnt a clean install then your pc may still be messed up. try and save all the drivers, reformat and reinstall. if that still doesnt work then install the drivers again that you found and just live with it. a formatted computer wipes out everything so should let you start again without any problems. its better than finding drivers off the internet which slow down your pc. maybe the drivers you found were not new enough.

It was a fully clean install, and i cant live with it, without my network card i have no way of connecting to the internet

agghhhhh i got nforce drivers of the nvidia website but ti wont install for some reason it unpacks and then just closes with out a error message or anything.

Try and find some good drivers. If you cant get any then take it to a shop. Y dont you try installing an os like win 98 first, install the drivers then update to xp.

hum dude_se will all the respect it's really a bad idea, his bios or hardware has nothing, changing to safe mode won't change anything !!! Like I already said, find your cd from asus back and install every driver !

Here are all the drivers, bios, utilities on asus.com

Ive found the exact version of the nforce drivers that where shipped with the pc and everything seems ok except having no sound but i can pretty much sort that out i think
