yeah, the phone is out of warranty.03w17.. a few years to late. ive tried with and w/o a sim in it. with and w/o charger and terminatory dongle. im going to get a memstick today to see if that will help.

Residentevil, what were u refering to when you said take out the msd?

I can get into the phone sorta with the terminator dongle and div 8.4 but there really isnt anything usefull there. Ive tried flashing the firmware and GDFS a few times now, and just about evertying else div 8.4 can do. still nothing.

the files i used are:

P800_Full_GDFS_in_AVR_flash_format.sbn
P800_PhonePart_R2D.sbn

i dont even know if they are the right ones....
ill keep u guys updated as i work throught this.

thanks guys

Very doubful DIV will help you. I hear many people just leaving their phone for a while with battery out, then trying later works.

To service the phone find somone with UFS or Fighter/Cruiser.

Hi, i have another idea. try using the "Recovery Mode" at the SE update service, (quote from site)

What is "recovery mode"?
"Recovery mode" offers an opportunity to revive non-operational devices only. The reason why the device is non-operational is irrelevant. Provided you have tried to use the service previously you will be able to use recovery mode. When the device is non-operational, the service cannot retrieve the CDA number from the device. Hence, recovery mode can be used only if you have used the service before, which means the service knows the CDA number to use for your particular device. Recovery mode works even if the update failed the first time you tried, provided you got far enough for the actual update procedure to have started, i.e. when you see the progress indicator on your screen.

sounds perfect for your problem

but only if you used SE update before
