> HELP ME with my V800

i've only had the phone for 2 days.
Before that it I bought it off of Roulf, who said it was new and only switched on to be unlocked.
I'm not familiar with CID #'s or Jargon, this is the first unofficial flash I've attempted...
Guess we'll wait and see.

Whats unoffical about it? You are using SEMC copyrighted files and you are using an EMMAII connection to finalize the phone - exactly as any service centre

you tried to finalize the recovery flash? Flash the recovery file again without finalizing this time. you can use 460800 aswell.

now when I click the power button the leds light of dim, but when I let go it switches off....
Seems to be worse now.

sure thats fine, EROM is in main part - evertime you try to complete after flashing
only the recovery then the EROM will be erased again. Flash again with out finalization.

trying again with another recovery flash.
I check skip finalization and only checked the main box.

lol worse is not an option - i am telling you the problem - The ERASEABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EROM) has been erased. Flash the recovery file without finalization - very important! (donot turn on)Then after Flash the main and fs files with finalization.

ok look this is what i'm getting.
You are telling me to flash the recovery then immediately try to flash it with another file.
So flash Main Recover V800
then
flash Main with FS using the Z800 firmware with finalization.
Now here is the thing.
The leds are on (which mean the phone is considered to be on)
If I finish the recovery, the phone is still on.
So I can't switch the phone onner than it is when it asks me to.
Do you mean, finish the recovery, take out the battery, put it back in the dock, do flash of new firmware?
Remember I'm a big idiot noob with this, so I need baby steps.
