I reckon it'll be priced the same (or very slightly above) the 7650. It doesn't offer that many advantages, and is being pitched at the same market. SE have already lost out in launching after the 7650, and over-pricing it would not be a good idea.

Well the mobile part is worth about £100 (with contract) you can buy a better camera for £60, and Mp3 player for £50 or less). OK, so the PDA part is better than normal, but I'd guess it's still nowhere as good as a dedicated one.

I agree they have to compete on price with the 7650, if you want a mass market device, it has to have a mass market price.

The price quotes was probably contract-free (unsubsidised).
If you want a proper Symbian/Psion organiser then it's not bad if you buy it on contract (providing the service provider decides to subsidise it). The Nokia 7650 is already pretty big (too thick) and the P800 is bigger still, but if you want an organiser and phone combination the P800 it should be considered.
If all you want is a phone with a built-in camera and MMS, then hold out for the Japanese phones in a couple of months as they are much smaller like the Samsung T100 in size but better spec,'ed and 65k colours over the Nokia's 4096.
The Nokia is somewhere in-between the P800 and the forthcoming Japanese camera-phones. In reality, the Nokia was rushed out for MMS. Not enough memory for real PDA use and even then it is limited by the operating system to things such as a 25 voice-dialling limit despite enough memory for more etc.

The P800 will be tool for profesial users. A carpenter looking for a propper hammer would never buy a hammer in a toy shop, if you know what I mean.
The S800 IS going to be amongst the most expensive phones on the market, we all have to realise that. I think it's going to be worth every cent.

I stumbled across a UK site that had a price of 450 pounds and does not talk about any contract. Wonder if you are familiar with this site and can give some views on how real this price is.
