wiggs ur saying am missing the last *?
how come?
basically let me explain this from my side like a kid would actually do
you have messages, contacts, call list, calendar, applications (as the shortcuts on the display when the flip is closed)
I turn the jog dial upwards (not pressing it ofcourse) then press the * key
The phone displays the call screen (like where am gonna dial a number)
Then i turn the jog dial downwards, then downwards again and press the * key
The call screen appears now with ** signs
Then turn the jog dial downwards again and press the * key
The call screen appears now with *** signs
that's it?
I know this has to be wrong as nothing appears.
Isn't there another way to do this?
Damn, Nokia was so easy to do, just the code
Best Regards
Amit

Another option is to perform a full firmware upgrade. This way the sony ericsson web site does it all for you.
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]5_7&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10101
This will guide you 100% of the way through the upgrade.
If your still having problems I suggest you take thephone back to where you got it from. If it was some guy in the pub and you paid £40 it then find a bin as you now know why its so cheap.

I know the p900 is touch screen and the yes should be done through the stylus or even the finger. But since there is no space the memory's so jammed that the touch screen stopped working.
I know am moving it in the right direction as mentioned
the keys are working but nothing's happening after performing the neccessary functions.
Just that am not sure if am pressing it down one click or a lot more than one click.
Geez

The wheel you can feel the clicks, its not a freely spinning wheel. It has very clear and obvious notches to the movement.
The memory being full would not jam the device. Your talking about the C: drive for stroage, thats all it does. If that gets full it just means that you cant store any more sms, emails apps etc. The RAM used to run the device is seperate and turning it off and on clears that right up.
From what your saying youve been sold a defective phone.
