@RichH6109

How do you know that?

If so I may hold off getting a K750i and maybe get the K600

@bert if u dont need 3g, then dont go for it. Its so simple. But if there is a 3g system already, we need fones aswell. This message was posted from a Z1010

Thanks for finally explaining things. So if I had a 3g phone would the quality of voice from the person I'm speaking to sound much better even if he/she is on a regular (GMS?) mobile? and would I be a bit clearer to them by speaking into a 3G phone. I've heard it's possible to check e-mail on 3G phones too. Is this an expensive option? I'm just thinking about holding off a bit getting the K750i for the K600i. I think the K600i does look a bit better and it is a bit lighter.

Yes, speech quality is improved for both parties in a call.

Most SE-phones, no matter if they are 3G or not, can be used as e-mail clients. If your email provider has pop- or imap4-services then you can configure the email client in your phone to send and receive email. What it will cost you is up to your operator, mostly depending of data trafic rates. However, as with all data services 3G has the advantage of being faster than GSM.

To comment on the choice between k750i and k600. The k750 has two major advantages: memory card and 2 Megapixel camera. The k600 do not have a memory card (i really hope I'm wrong on this one but it seems to be confirmed...it's sooo stupid) and it has only a 1.3 Mp camera. If these things are more inportant to you then you should go for the k750. If you want a 3G-phone without a memory card (stupid) and a not so good camera (but maybe adequate), then you should go for the k600.

...and also the design on the k600 is a lot cooler

edit: spelling and better language

It really depends on your needs.

They make 3G phones because there are 3G networks, although if you don’t want to you don’t have to purchase a 3G phone. If you’ve no need for 3G, then you shouldn’t buy the phone simply because it has 3G capabilities.

In regards to a comment made, it’s true that 3G is the future, although I don’t believe it’s that important for one to get a 3G phone at the moment simple because it’s 3G. There’s nothing wrong with 2G phones.

And has been mentioned, a major problem with the K600i in my opinion is the fact you cannot use memory sticks while with the K750i you can. This is a major advantage to the K750i, and if you need the extra space for music, or photos, or videos, or whatever, then I think you may be better off getting the K750i – although maybe wait a while until they’ve sorted everything out in the next firmware upgrade.

well, the only thing i like at k6, is that its not a clamshall, as my z10. if i want make good pix, then i buy a camera, if i wanna listen to music, then i buy mp3 player, walkman etc and if i wanna store datas, then i buy a pda or palm, so all these features arent interesting for me. i wanna have a good battery, good reception and userfriendly menu. and of course a useable fw, dont wanna upgrade it every second month, only cos se arent able test it lomg enough, especially at 3g fones, it would be more important according the "special features".

hi there just new to this forum thing, but have been trying to decice between the k600i and the k750i for a while now and having read all your thoughts i think i am going to go with the k750i. although the k600i looks cool i dont know how much of the 3G suff i would really use ie video calling. i have read reports of minor drawbacks with the k750i ie fitting a 2megapixel picture into the screen and also the volume of the speaker, but all in all i dont think a 3G just for 3G's sake is worth it? any comments cheers
