websteri, I tried that, and it doesn't seem to be working, and they said I need to go onto the the mobile connect website to get it working. When I told them the imei and pin number, its meant to be work but no avail.

Guys, you MUST subscribe to a Blackberry tariff otherwise your registration just wont work. You can either transfer to a Blackberry specific tariff, or, ask them to apply something called a "SOP" to your existing tariff which will give you access to the BB service for £10 per month. Until you've had Blackberry activated on your phone you won't be able to get any further than installing the software. Once done, go to
www.mobileemail.vodafone.net to enter your EMEI number and PIN.

The software would have to be re-written to work for P900. Plus you'll need the necessary firmware in your handset as well. In case you didn't know, SE pushed some necessary firmware upgrades to the P910s a few months ago to allow BB support.

almost there I think - I've got them to re-grade my package to include BB.
I also need to wait for tomorrow for it to become activated - in the meantime I need to make sure I've set up the software to make the registration call properly. What address do I send this to - is it blackberry.net or mobieemail.vodafone.net? At present it has the t-mobile address in the internet connection box so I know I need to change this? Any help from voda users gratefully received.
Cheers

U do need to change the connect address per instructions of the guide. You'll need to connnect to the BB APN regardless of mobile carrier.

Huge thanks to all for advice and help - Blackberry now enabled on my p910i with vodafone as the mobile providor and T-Mobile as the software provider. I've got a number of my POP3 accounts setup plus a lotus notes account via iNotes.
