i cant go with aol as my router/modem (netgear dg834g) isnt compatible apparently
maximum i can get with bulldog is 2meg and i doubt me grandad would change the phoneline from bt
old people are funny like that

Well they say its exactly the same cost as BT, so i assume that means, call costs, line rental. ONly thing is i dont spose you will have BT benefits such as Ring back, 1471 etc.

Some of those netgear routers come with the older firmware and only work with AOL after a firmware upgrade, available from the netgear site. Might be worth a try
