Well, battery life is important to me and anyone living in California.

We usually drive hours on the freeway to get somewhere, and having a lousy phone that only lasts 1 hour is worthless.

Have you ever heard about in-car chargers...

Yes, I have, but I don't exactly always stick my phone in the car charger when I'm out going for a drive. I keep my phone in my pocket, and if I can't have a phone that will last me for a few hours when I supposedly leave my car to visit a friend or a place, what's the point?

Hi there

I normally download pictures from
http://mitglied.lycos.de/mys100/
and sent them to my phone via the data cable. Its got phones from the original T100 CD, check the T100 Wallpaper CD section on the left. Other sites (mainly ringtones) include:
http://ray1.net/mmf/
www.mobile-universe.org
And for the rest of my ringtones, I simply find a decent midi and convert it to .mmf format with PSPlayer.

I'm not sure what you can do about the data cable though - all the sites I've listed are simply for saving the images/tones to your PC, the sites don't support sending the tones or images to your phone via SMS/etc. www.vizzavi.co.uk (sp?) is the only site I know of that allows you to do it that way, but I think their polyphonic ringtones are £3 each or something daft :/

Explain how do you get that talk time of 6hs ?

The samsung page says up to 4h's on the SGH-S100
and 3.3h's on the SGH-T100

The first has a standby of 100h the second 190h (from the samsung site)

The thing I dont understand is, how can this be so low ? The internal color display is disabled when the phone is closed no ? and the outside display is smaller then a ordinary phone display. So how the hell do you explain this low standby time then ?

There seems to some confusion about this. Other places on the Samsung site have this specs for the S100:
Standby: 150/180 Standard/Extended
Talktime: 6/8

I don't know what's right, but from my experience the batterylife is good and that is what really counts

Can you give some numbers ?
"for me the standby time is good" is a bit relative. Maybe your someone who likes recharging:)

Anyway, is it possible to tell how many days you do with phone untill you need to recharge ? And also mention if you leave the phone on at night and if you call/sms a lot.

I saw the T100 in the store and it is very perfect. Small and a good design. The price is ok also. When the 7210 sucks I'm going to buy this one I think.

I saw the picture of the 100S on the page , and it has a green backligth ? Is this changeable? and does it have a profile thing like on nokias?

ps. Why dont they produce mobiles with changeable backligths anway ? Most mobiles have LED backgrounds and there ale led's who give different ligth at other voltages. (so you can change the color by applying differen voltage)

I charge it approx. every three days(extended batt.). A play arond with it quite a lot; downloading, playing games(they are great) and of course normal use(on at night, not many SMS)
This is about the same as for the T68i I used to have. The T68i is supposed to have much better specs for batterytimes, but it also only lasted three days when I "played" with it.
Outside backlight is blue, not changeable.
You can only change the colour of the small outside operational light.

Ah ok, great.
But arent you talking about the T100 ? since the S100 has a green front display on the samsung site (the T100 has a blue one) so over wich phone are you talking about ?

Hello to all,
1- I would like to know if the Samsung S100 could import the contacts stored on your pc. I mean, I would like to pass all my contacts of outlook to the S100, is this possible?

2- How many profiles has the S100? (Profiles as Nokia, General, Silent, Bip,...)

3- The STN screen of s100 is readable on sunlight? or is the same as T68i?

Thank you,

NetGuy2
