I had my second brand new p910i because i lost my old one, and i had it for just 3 weeks, now, the colour on the keypad (at the corner) starts to fade away.
I can say i am a careful user, and i just leave my p910 in my trousers pocket. I think the quality is really crxP!
What can i do? Claim under warranty>>?
Got it from CPW.
There is one key word in your post, The word: I. You want someone to replace under warrantee your phone based on something you are doing. I would not replace it. For sure your pants are rubbing and abrazing(sp) the paint on the P910 in
YOUR pocket. You might want to check out the link that someone provided and order some replacement parts and get a proper case.

If you sandpaper the phone after 10 seconds, do you think the paint will stay on. Be realistic. If you have a phone in your pocket, or somewhere it can rub, naturally the paint will come off. Two words: carrying case.

This is a rare sort of problem. It doesnt occur at all with those who use a plastic cover.

What about people that don't upgrade every year though? Some people use the same phone for 2 years or more. In fact not long back I was in my local CPW and a guy in there was looking at upgrading to a P910i, he'd been using a P800 for just over 2 years, it was mint condition too. My first P900 I sold when it was 12 months old and it was immaculate, I always kept it in the supplied cover and it protected it really well. I was actually able to sell the phone with standard accessories, box, manual CDs etc... for 230 GBP, not bad as at the time you could get a brand new one for 350 GBP.

Right again. The mods can probably lock this thread as there is not really much more to put out. User inflicted damage, i.e. putting it in your pocket, not protecting it, dropping it, etc... should not be covered my SE or any retailer. You pays your money, you takes your chances. This can not be that hard to understand.

It's really a mug's game out there... There's an element of risk involved in any transaction...

Didn't SE offered you a carry case?
The P910 metal colour is painted plastic. Painted!
The paint will come off with wear. Use the case.
I used my P910 since day one (october) in my jeans pocket and the corners lost some paint.
To be sincere, I like it that way!
I think a P9x0 phone must be like a good book - It must show where it has been, and that you use it a lot!
