And moreover, a dead pixel goes white, because the normal non-energized status of a LCD cell is transparent, not opaque. So that the light from the lamp goes through and the pixel is white.
That is, if both three RGB components are dead.

The best way to check if it's dead pixel or not is to get some bright background, like enter new sms, then watch the screen and rotate phone to left/right or up/down and you will easilly see if spot is in the same level with the lcd or above it. (if it covers the same pixel all the time, it's pixel problem/ if it moves over different pixels while you're moving phone it's dirt) This message was posted from a T610

In his case, it is a white spot. If he switches the phone off and the white spot is still there, then it is obviously dust or a scratch, don't you think?

the problem with this forum is that we have Too many ppl who Think theyre experts, when in reality they dont know what theyre talkin about !!!

seriously, it doesnt take more than an IQ of 80 to figure out that its Not a dead pixel since it cant be seen once the phone is OFF !!!!
ur either st***d or u have no knowledge whatsoever when it comes to displays !!! have u ever seen a dead pixel ??? well, let me inform u that u cant see it once the screen is off...

end of discussion, go learn a few things before u start posting b***s**t !!!

Actually depends on the type of display whether you see it when its off.

Not pretending Im an expert.

But Taz. No need to get aggressive. Many people try to pretend theyre experts but atleast 20% of those people are in fact experts and are very useful. So dont diss them. But I clearly see your points. Too many people try to argue about small technicalities. Like my example above.

if it's dust, can you try using an "air sprayer", the ones meant for cleaning camera lenses or keyboards. they usually come with a little tube for tight spots. but even with the battery cover off, the phone may be too tightly put together.

and i wouldn't want to guess about it being a dead pixel. depends on what kind of screen the K750 has.
