According to my experience, Music Player at "Pause" stage drains battery dramatically. That's why I always "Stop" the music before switch to other application.
You know, I can't remember for the life of me. I know that I had finished listening to a 1 hour radio show which I had started it from the "manage tracks" screen (to avoid the player automatically starting the next track in the playlist), so it should have stopped anyway.
Obviously, I had no way of checking the next morning, as everything was deaddo.

I used to have a version of breakout on my P910i which used to drain my battery when you closed the flip after you had finished playing it the game carried on running in the background, it took me a few days to figure out what it was it only dawned on me what it was when I realised that breakout was always the last program I ran
