In my own opinion, Nokia is definitely not a Mercedes !!! For me, it’s just like a common VW Golf, like everybody has...!! (actually, I never had a Golf... nor any Nokia!!!)
But if it’s one phone maker who can beat Ericsson... is just Siemens !
I totally agree with jh67, and a mobile should be (for me):
Good looking (as the T68 is)
Lots of features (as the T68 has)
Very useful (as the T68 is definitely not)
Since 10 years, I had a lot of Ericsson model... until two years ago, when I bought the S35i which was, at this time, incomparable with any other phone...
And as soon as Siemens launch a tri-band phone with a color screen and Bluetooth..., I’m afraid that Ericsson will once again loose a lot of their customer, just because the T68 is so unpleasant to write a single SMS... (think of the apostrophe... and how slooooow...) and I suppose that SMS is the most used function of every mobile around the World...

Hey Rolud, Siemens are good phones too! You can compare their phones with

and many times they producing phones with very good features. But as you said, a phone should be nice looking, I don't think that siemens are nice neither smal. In addition, the menu of the siemens is not as easy as ericsson's or Nokia.
The speed is, according to my opinion, key factor, but both T68 and Nokia 8310 and any other phone I have used so far (panasonic motorola) with so many features is not fast enough compared to elder models.
The basic function of a cellular phone is not the SMS, it is a tool of communication! I use a lot of SMS in Greek language and I can asure you that t68 has the best t9 function. The only disadvantage is the 70 character length per message!
Thanx!

I think that Ericsson have finaly made a very good phone.
None of there other phone where any good. That's why Nokia have gone so far ahead in the mobile phone market.
I think Nokia and the rest of them will get worried about how good the T68 is.
I know that I'm not going to get another Nokia phone.
