O2 PAC code is sent by letter - so nobody can ring up and ask for it - it takes a few days to arrive. My girlfriend just did that. Beware that the PAC code is only valid for a certain time.
Despite what the monkey say over the phone.

Interesting you say that, I have a feeling that the phone will turn up a little earlier than expected. They seem to get stock at HQ about 3-5 days prior to the quoted release date as well as changes to the online system. Shops say online upgrades get it 1st and CS say shops get it first so it's anyone's guess.

I will call select right now too.

They said 23 October 2006, it has been that date for a while.

FYI Orange have released it online for new connections and apparently it will be in store as of Monday 16 October, so O2 must be pretty darn close too. I think 16 October will be the date for O2, but it will be as much a surprise for them as us!!!

I popped into Marylebone Rd branch yesterday and they had 3 generic sim free versions which they would be able to sell on either Voda or O2...

Not bad deal on O2... Free phone and £40 quid a month so £480 for the year...

Gonna go for that when i get mine as they got them sim free for £800?!?!

Before anyone asks, i wanna go with CPW so i can get it insured with them... so if i need to replace i can do so in store pronto!

From experience CPW sell generic handsets on O2, Voda and T-Mobile whenever possible... this tends to be just a case of stock control and the fact that the network branded ones tend to take am age to appear!

You could actually make it £360 if you reduce the tariff down to £20 after month 6.

@jcwhite_uk

Just for the record the Orange online store has a similar price on their 12 month UKP19 line rental tariff (P990 is UKP150).

Does anyone know about deals on web browsing and email?

I'm looking at a new contract and was playing on a brand free phone in CPW this morning and they offered me a great price on the phone for GBP35/month 12 month contract. However I'm concerned about how much I'd pay for using web and email a lot as bolt ons or payg is expensive. CPW said that I could get unlimited use for GBP10/month.

Has anyone else heard of this deal? Phoned O2 for my PAC but as it takes 48hr to text and longer in the post I've got time to find best deal. O2 offered a really good monthly deal with GBP 130 for phone but only bolt ons as they hadn't heard of any unlimited deal for browsing. Plus the fact they don't have the phone and in CPW I had it in my hands which means a lot.

Is there any similiar deal on Voda for reasonable price?
