dont use bruteforcing/hacking anymore.

there's a new method which no longer involves bruteforcing!
You can browse your phone with FAR, plus updating some drivers won't take more than 10 minutes.

though only FS, and only w810i w300/w550 CID49

read here for a noob-o-tutorial with a list of things you can do with FAR

Great, my phone is dead too. It was only about a few minutes since i did the mod. My computer sees my phone only after I remove the battery for a few minutes. When I run FAR and comes to the point where I have to plug in the DCU-60, I get this:

Connect cable holding "c" key. Waiting answer from phone
ChipID: 80 40 03 01 FF FF FF FF k750/w800/w550 series detected
EPIUSB: speed changed from 921600 to 921600
***All loaders are taken from SETOOL2***
Sending break_in ldr: cid49run: sent 1 byte(s)

and its stuck at 0%. Oh no im in great trouble! Once i get my phone back again, (im really hoping and praying) I'll never do it do it anymore. By the way, the purpose of all of these is to remove the shutter sound. Any help is appreciated. I really need it. thanks!

I guess i need to reflash the main firmware, file system and the customization file system? Problem is, i dont know where i can download the main firmware (I had R1BC002, but upgraded lately to R1DB001 via SEUS) and the file system. I hope i am doing the correct thing and i am not doing more damage to my phone. Help!

i believe i can do a flash firmware using Phone SX to fix this. Can i use the REST firmware for that? Or where can i download that firmware? Top Sony requires to be registered first before you can download their files. I already registered but it said i have to post 50 messages (not really sure how many) and i need to be registered for a month before i can download something. I need a mirror please.

heheh. Finally able to make my phone work again using the original firmware. I panic too much. I was able to find and download the firmware R1BC002 after 10 hours of googling.

The good thing is, I was also able to disable the shutter sound which is the main purpose of this. I sworn not to do it again.

Hi

Couldn't you find the R1CA021 firmware, many people say it's the best one..
And did you flash the phone by following the steps from p.1 ? Is it difficult?

THANKS
