Hey this discussion is about if they have it or not.so the answer is simple really YES THEY DO AND THEY ARE AHEAD IN TERMS OF TECHNOLOGY.how they making us wait like idiots is a different topic...
thats real nice of SE. show off the tech only in Japan. You know what, i dont believe its the same SE that makes it for the rest of the world. I think they hire some other company to make it for them to sell it in Japan. Thats what i think. Its disgraceful for them and its a pathetic decision to make those phones only in Japan. They can shove their tech up their ***. Its not only about making money, you gotta have a reputation. And SE has a rep for producing poor/outdated crap for us to buy. And what about SE in Japan? Even with their bravia phones they still are not the number one brand. Its a shame really, even after using SONY's brand name they cant make a name for themselves.

You said
"I guess, its this way,SE does not release phones that frequently but whatever their products are,are quite throughly tested"
You really can not be serious just for example K800's when first released that so many of them were refusing to start due to a bad EROM and the classic of untested and not fit for market all the UIQ3 devices that have taken over 7 months to even start to reach the state they should of been on release. Your statement would of been correct for Ericsson but certainly doesn't apply to SE which really is a great shame and not what we had grown to expect.

Well,I think that ericsson has the more Tech contribution to SE,
after all this one thinks what the heck has happened to SONY,I mean if they play about with their brand name then its going to be disaster, especially when new players are getting into the market.
It takes years and years of hard work and labour to get some standing in the market, but seconds to lose it.I think that SONY needs to REALLY think about its future and stop fooling around, the furure belongs to communication and you are only good as your last job.
Come to think of it that SONY with its high profile products in the tech world needs some shaking up in its organisation.........

In relation to the technology, unfortunately for some on here, it would have to be one of the Japanese manufacturers.
Sony Ericsson, Sharp, Fujitsu and NEC all churn out handsets regularly that put our measly efforts to shame.
They have phones with GPS, Fingerprint Technology, Face Recognition security, Mobile Wallet and other wonderful advancements available right now that other people can only dream about.
The Sony Ericsson W52S, which has just been launched, has
110hrs music playback for christsakes! Thats just over
4 and half days!!
Now thats what you call a battery! Eh?
So my money would be on one of the Japanese manufacturers as they put our phones to shame.
Take a look at the NTTDocomo site someday, its a real eye-opener.

@Golden face,
Have you seen the new Toshiba Portege G900 Pocket PC which has a really great spec including a stunning, high resolution 3" WVGA display, has a fingerprint sensor and uses this biometric technology to ensure that the G900 is secured. The same sensor can be used to navigate the phone’s menus at the touch of a finger. The G900 offers you the latest Windows Mobile 6 versions of Pocket Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. Connects using Bluetooth, WiFi and USB and can even use Bluetooth or WiFi as a remote keypad and screen for your PC, worldwide HSDPA, and VOIP support and it actually looks good as well. The full spec and pictures can be seen at the following link.
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=146074
Also at this site check out the Samsung F700 Ultra smart phone that is ready for up to 7.2mbps HSDPA downloads. Although both these devices are Windows Mobile 6 it shows the spec's these companies are launching and what can be done and what we should start to expect from all manufacturers in the not so distant future.
