I think what people are saying and are finding hard to accept is that less than a year old device is not receiving warranty repairs free of charge and by any ones standards that just can't be right or acceptable.
just to confirm that the M600 has been available since mid June last year. Checking through my posts I see I got mine around 22nd June.
So the M600 is more than a year old however any manufacturer should support a device for a year (or whatever the warranty period is)
after they cease production IMHO.

When i go home from work, i will attach what an answer i got from SE....
I felt i got an answer from an automatic answer machine!
But, deep inside i am still thinking getting a P1i, although i dont really need what it gives more, compared to M600...
A.... why the h*ll did my touch screen stop working!!! And i was SOOO happy with the phone!

The "updates in the pipeline" quote comes from just one, seemingly misinformed email from SE customer support. It's been jumped on by the OP and substituted as the thread title, but in fact every message both before and since this email confirms that there are to be
no further updates for the M600i.
Personally, I'm entirely satisfied with that - the M600i on current firmware is fine, and no less reliable/stable than any other phone I've ever owned.

i have to agree that my m600 is fully functional - it has been since 2 or 3 updates ago. Dont think there is any need for furture updates as the m600 IMHO is as stable as my p910 was.
i'm also really glad that this stability has been passed to the p1i

as said above, the "Friday gamble alarm" ? lol
i have 3 alarms every friday, maybe i am lucky to hear them... And most pprobably one will hit , somewere in the afternoon of Friday! Also with the low volume of the alarm there is a problem...
The small quicking sound: "Click, Click, CLick" still comes out of my phone...
However still is a superb phone and wouldnt want to replace it... I had a problem with my screen, and in the end i replaced the screen instead of replacing the phone....
