I tried to phone my local CPWH to see if they had hiss free phones, yet my phone call was unanswered, 2wice in 30mins it was answered put the phone was put right back down (someone picked it up and put it back down)...I'm gona go 2m and return it and buy from else where, if they dont have hiss free version!
also when I bought the phone the guy said it had 28 day return policy yet when I called the next day it went down to 14 any way its been 9 days since i had it, and got sick of the hiss noise!

you have 28 days to return a faulty phone and to receive a replacement. but you have 14 days if you want to change to a different phone or end the contract.

@can1 - nice to see good customer service being acknowledged along with the bad
@sniper - bad news mate, CPW do not offer any refund at any point. You can exchange for a different model within 14 days and the handset will be replaced if faulty within 28 days, but there is no money-back period. Also, why not phone customer services if you have a problem. Oddly enough, the reason we don't answer phones is because the customers IN the store take priority over those who are calling. This is why there is a Direct Sales dept and a separate customer services - who are able to contact a store and get them to call you back.

i hate to say this, because i have a friend who works in CPW, but i always seem to be second to people on the phones there, but they have been very helpful when ive had problems (and when i upgraded my 68) but the last one i went into had no idea about the problems with the 610, which i find rather odd when theres so much about the faults going round...?

@dave_uk
thanks, I'm just looking to get a hiss free phone

I was somewhat supprised, that CPWH arent that aware of what they sell, well they didnt know when I asked about the t610

though it didnt bother me too much. but it would be great if workers are into phones, have some sort of knowledge about features etc, rather than just the price
STRANGE: when I bought the phone, I bought a top up card at the same time, total of £309.99, and the only money he had in the till was "1p" found it to be freakey. lol

I went into CW and got the same blank expression about the hiss problem as well. Just for all those wondering though, it doesn't matter if CW don't have a refund policy. The product you bought was fit for the purpose so by law you can get your money back. If they give you any hassle just call your local trading standardsb office and they'll get it sorted nice and quickly for you. You should also note the new law that came out a few weeks ago stating that the retailer now has to be the one to prove that the product was in full working order at time of purchase, not the customer, and obviously the phone wasn't.

I know just how you feel - I've mentioned it in at least 5 shops in belfast - and the response I've got varied from
Never heard of it - and we've sold loads and never had
one back!
You are clearly insane
May have been a problem with the early phones but
ours are fine - even though theirs are r2a w19
Carphone warehouse seem the most willing to believe me even though they maintain I'm the only person thats mentioned it to them.....
