How about the PC Suite version and p900 back-ups.
Can anyone predict (works in SE or are familiar with how they work) how much time SE will take to answer that? Either with offering a new FW or pointing out that there will be no legal version of it. Will they comment on it at all?

no, you need all correct hardware you can use the dss-25 but you need a card also which kind of acts like a key to the software.
sorry i dont know about the pc-suite i dont really use it idont see why it wont work though as far as the computer knows the phone is a p910.

calm down!! the bloke has offered to upgrade peoples P900 for free, as well as answering questions posted.
I understand why you have asked the question but your attitude comes accross as agressive

as far as SE releasing this software ....this will only be avaliable to sim free phones ( i would suspect ) as the Network providers arn't going to add there usual logos etc ...and they cant be bothered now . I have an unbranded phone and since they use IMEI numbers now to check i cannot update (unless i revert back to crappy o2 ...and go back a couple of firmwares ) ..any views on this ?

well, I guess the best thing to do is to leave you playing with it for a while. Keep us posted if there's anything we should know (the good and the bad things) before doing anything. Except of course wait for the SE response to it.

well im not agressive just cos i used the word f**k, up here where i live f**k is used as a full stop - commer and most of the time it replaces thankyou and in place of good day to you sir we use f**k off -
