Its funny how everything else goes up, but technology (prices) always comes down! Because if they upped the price there would be uproar

These convergence handsets should come down in price really when you think about it.

If convergence goes the whole way then Sony will be able to shift phones, video cameras, cameras and MP3 players in the one module, doing away with the need for seperates.

Like I've mentioned before, NEW technology is always expensive, but once a certain technology becomes mature, new methods for mass production will most likely become available at a cheaper cost. That's when we can expect them to become available to consumers at a lower price. So in the point of view of manufacturers, it's a race against time and technology.

Sometimes a compromise has to be made whether to wait for a certain technology to become cheaper or release new technology now at a higher price ahead of the competition and become a trend-setter. I think SE is mostly focused on the latter.

What? me? why? no!

You can just see how some manufacturers are able to release cheaper but low quality phones.

Mmm . . . SE trend setter ?!? Which handset do you have in mind if you say that buddy ? I know of other companies trying to implement 'visual radio','tv' and other crap on a cell phone, but no much comes to mind if I thing on SE.Even the much appraised Pxx operating system is not a SE development ! (check on the net who gets the royalty fees for it) Greetings from South Africa. Mario ;-) This message was posted from a Nokia 7650
