For goodness sake...it's Symbian S60. Same story with Omnia HD. All SE and Samsung can do is to tweak the UI here and there, but not the whole enchalada.

according to the satio user guide --- page 56
http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]2595/U1__UG_EN_1229-1286_1.pdf

it say that you need to BUY a valid license in order to use the adobe PDF and the quick office after the expiration of the trial period....

anyone can confirm this?????? (i know it's soon for the apps to expire-- but there must be something mentioning this in the program)
if it's true ... (hope not) .... the document viewer editor software should be removed from the phones features!!!!!

PowerMP3 supports album art (cover art) and its equaliser works fine on all formats on my S60, theres also CorePlayer who will release a touch version, but ye you wont be able to have that stand by widget and visualizations.

Adobe PDF has 14 days left when you first start it. QuickOffice has an option for "Full version & Updates".

Quick office lets you view the documents just fine. You just have to buy a license to edit them.
As for PDF reading, It's Adobe that dictates that a software that is free for desktops needs to be paid for on the mobile environment. Could SE have paid the fee and included it? Yes. But then again, they are offering some things with the Satio that competing models don't. You win some, you lose some.

I'm looking around for a free alternative to Adobe Reader LE. I'll post an update here if I do find it.

Hold your temper. Even with the other devices and/or brand you'll going to have the trial version of the Office ( I used to own the 5800 so I know) nothing is free any more. I think from Feature Pack 2 (3rd Ed) to 5th Edition you have to buy a License.
