yo ppl, i got a w23 set today at sungai wang at 1570 cash...
+3% credit card .. that came up to like 1630.. which is acceptable ..
as i was too lazy to bagain further

..
emm .. soree for posting only today .c.oz i was naturally busy testing everything and stuff ..
so far ... i dun hear any hissing from it .. ehehe .. or at least i dun notice it yet .. i tested it ..throughly at the place before i bought it ..
and yes .. u gotta be careful even with w23 units .. as i tested one with REALLY BAD hissing probleme ... and imagine i was at sungaiwang the noise and all . .emm .. and it was detectable .. so its kindda bad

... so be careful .. emm .. but my unit is .. occay i guess haven;t really made calls with it as it still charging now

.. emm .. only done a coupld of short calls to mobile and line .. and it's crystal clear compare to my ..t68i .. which actually hisses more

..
OH ..i got mine with Extended warranty .. 12months + 3 months ..
emm well according to that guy .. the 3 months are "special" warrenty by the particular shop .. coz the boss is CLOse with SE fellas ..i dunno how true is that .. but i will just have to trust him ..he said if my phone goes dead after 12 months .. i can still get freee service if i bring the phone back to the shop ... (and they will have to send it to ricserve instend) i forgot the shop's name .. emm .. but if anyone of u are intrested .. u can pm me . and i will see wat i can do

(that means i will digg that recipe ouT)
oh the battery life, i can't really comment on it yet, but judging by the fact that my phone lasted for 6 whole hours .. even before the first charge .. was kindda impressive

.. (i was assured that it was a new uncharged unit, and i can't wait to use it as well

)
well .. i dunno .. but i think .. the RIngtones are Bloody Loud for polyphonics .and it blows ..all nokkias .. back to finland .. emm ..
and .. the amount of detail in the ringtone is impressive..

.. as for the screen .. is crystal clear .. 64K .. rules

and comparable with my dad's samsung screen .. .. )
oh onemore thing ... my favorite mpart of my t610 experiance yesterday was the syncing part ..... yesterday when i walked up to my rooms ... sundeenly .. my computer's bluetooth started picking up the phone .. and started setting syncro ..automaticaly .. and boom ..
in least than 1 minute ..all my stuff from outlook .. and my palm was .. stuffed inside ..

.. kindda cool .. actually .. emm judging that .. with nokias .. that will never happen...
well . overrall .. this is a ..very nice phone .. and it's price justify it's features .. emm i say GO GRAB IT .. emm it's worth it .. but make sure u test it .. properly before buying it ....
but Well, wat can i say.. i loved this phone since i first lay my eyes on it .. 4-5 months ago .. em .. cheers

You know..this kinda worries me. Why would a w23 unit hiss? If I were to make a guess, I have to say even the w23 are audio calibrated. It only makes sense.
BTW, which Bluetooth unit are u using? I'm thinking of getting one for myself.
Thx.

Got mine recently, week 22... works marvellous... no hissing.
Got it for RM1500...
So what this mean?... Test your unit before you purchase one. Not all all week 19-22 land in problems...
Had enough of this T610 "thingy"! Be wise when you purchase it. If you purchase a default set, request Ericserve to replace one for ya until you're satisfied.
So, please don't go on and on with this thread.. If a newbie drops by and knew this matter which supposed to be a minor, it will affect people interest....
T610 is a fantastic creation of SE so far... so get a grip!

Kucibubu...I think you got me and metalflux mixed up, I haven't bought the phone yet. By the way, why didn't you buy at sungai wang? And dont worry about the warranty, southall and T-mobile are SE's authorised distributors.
Alex...sorry but don't agree with you. I think this thread has done a lot of good for us (the *immediate* potential buyers and current owners of T610). How can you ask us to stop for the sake of newbies and potential buyers who may or may not buy the phone. I mean come on.
metalflux...congrats on your perfect T610!! I'm going to get mine in the next few days, can't wait anymore!
markng...I was looking around for bluetooth USB adaptors for my PC, and most of them are around RM200, that's pretty expansive. Is this the normal price range?

novell : I don't know much about BT devices but I know the Billionton one is selling for like RM 170 the last time I checked. But whether it works with the T610 is another matter. At least from this forum, we know that the MSI works.
Alex : It would be fine and dandy if I can get a replacement unit. The truth is that its not so simple. If u read my previous post, Eric Serve will only replace it if they can't rectify the problem. So if they can 'fix' it with audio calibration, you're NOT getting a replacement unit that is W23 or beyond. So the question is, are u happy knowing that you just spent RM 1570 or more for a handphone that is defective?

SE-Fans:
wah! u got a better deal than mine..... u know the gadgets shop in Low Yat (ground flr) is selling me the MSI USB thingy for bout RM 159. Novell, u better go for SE-Fans's deal.
markng:
any news bout ur phone? how's the service center in sunway? i heard it is much more smaller than Ericserve. it juz looks like another phone shop. am i rite?
Everybody:
for those who got a tight budget, u can always go for the serial cable which cost bout RM 40 only(ask for T68i cable, it's da same) at the mobile phone floor in Low Yat also. i got myself one as well...no $$$ liao after buyin T610 hehehehe

adios
