you guys are always quick to blame someone else or muck about design flaws.
the cracks don't happen from simple things like closing the flip. i have my p900 for more than a year now, and i don't have any problems with cracks, misaligned things etc.
it's when you carry the phone in your jeans pockets. cargo pants shouldn't be a problem, since you don't scrunch your phone when you bend or sit down.
just try carrying a pack of cigarettes in your pocket, sit down, then see what your smokes look like. there is a large amount of pressure the phone is exposed to when you do this. and it's not designed to withstand such pressure. SE probably tested the flip with one of those robotic testers, just like dishwashers and microwave ovens have their doors opened millions of times to see if the hinges and latches can take the abuse.
do you blame SE when you drop the phone onto a concrete sidewalk? design flaw because it's not ruggedized?
my nokia phones all had the problem of loosening batteries and lint under the screen. happened only because i carried them around in my pockets. i bent the phone every time i sat down, no wonder the battery loosened.
just accept the facts ... you mistreated the phone and you're the only one to blame. if you shell out more than 600 dollars for a tech gadget, you just don't dump it in your pockets along with your keys and change.
take care of it, and you'll enjoy it for a long time.

Seems that the casing can crack even if an anorectic sparrow puts its weight on a P900.
The spare front covers for P900 are out of stock in all the stores mentioned here (no wonder

. Anyone know a shop that currently has these in stock? I have a broken front case, too...

Ok update - I got mine replaced under warranty (yes spelled right this time - think i was a little dazed by the damage).
I didn't have to argue or anything, just showed them the phone - 2 days later it was returned with a new front housing(not back) totally free under warranty.
Now since this incident I have managed to find a wholesaler for original housing if anyone is having problems - contact me via PM if you are interested in one.
Oh and another point - Popped into my local SE service center today to find they are no longer a SE service centre - ANYWHERE! you can no longer walk in off the street for repairs - you can only do it by post!!! And £2 for a P900 pen - i was mugged!

come on lad - surely you dont class putting your phone in your pocket as mistreating it? where else you gonna put it?

lol...yeah lad! you cant really be expected to treat a phone THAT carefully!
Mine is cracked / bumped / bruised/ strached
at the end of the day it can be replaced...
im not too fussed, insurance will cover it - but its not affecting the core use of the phone

I''ve begun to develop two dents on each side of the phone, exactly like in the pictures, only not gone that far yet. I am considering handing it in to be repaired, before it goes too far. Yet it's not a problem for me at all yet, the phone is functioning perfectly. I am only thinking that it could be wise to have it fixed while the phone is fairly new (8 months or so). Yet i dread to go up to three weeks without my p900, but it would be nice to have a solid frame, and a flip/frame combo that doesn't suffer from this design flaw. Will i be charged for this repair? In that case, i won't bother. I am quite unsure what to do, though i fear that one day my phone will end up being useless due to this fault.

its just a case of how good you are at pursuading whoever that its a design fault and that you havent mistreated it. unfortunatly my phone is f****d everywhere so i had no chance! but if your phone is otherwise perfect then claiming under warranty shouldn't be a problem.
