Hi,
Anybody knows how can I turn off vibration if I receive a new email?
When phone ringing then the vibra alert is useful...So can I set the vibra alert separately for phone calls and messages?
thanks

tankee,
yes my account is GPRS enabled which means I can get BB data. There are others in my firm who are using the BB handset and it works fine on our local carrier network.
I just dont want to resort to using the BB handset. It's a step down from the p910.
what else could be the problem? My admin says he sent down our firm's IT policy unto the phone. Since then the phone is acting berserk.

I could be wrong but I believe that GPRS enabled =/= BB enabled. There is some registration to be done at the Blackberry.net server to allow your phone line to connect.
a simple way to test is to plug in your simcard into a BB device and see if it works.
good luck !

Are you still seeing this issue? Mine is still working. You may need to have them refresh your account. Or BB might just be having some delay issues.

it's just came back. seems more of a service disruption at telco or BB end that lasts approx 4 hrs.

Thanks Tankee and BigFeat for keeping the vigil. I'm T-mobile US on P910a, and working fine since downloading and activating yesterday.
The only two gripes I've had with P910 are blackberry connect and bluetooth connectivity in BMW, both of which are now resolved, thank goodness. The phone is now well worth having.
P.S., GPRS is NOT sufficient to enable blackberry enterprise service. There are 4 prerequisites 1) software on phone, 2) software on PC to configure, 3) blackberry account with carrier -- a GPRS account is NOT enough, 4) BES support at your corporate server. Also, I advise strict adherence to the install sequence, and a bit of patience (it takes a while to register) plus if it ain't working, try re-booting the phone.

thanks. Maybe my sys admin is doing something wrong. I know he has commissioned my account at the BES level and sent down IT rules to my handset. He told me today that the BES is saying I am yet to download these new rules.
Regarding the third requirement, i.e. set up a BB account on the carrier, isn't this the same as getting provisioned on the BES corporate arrangement??
What am I missing????
