I can not figure out what the indicator in preferences is supposed to doIn Preferences/Display, press on the Indicator list and select the item you want to change. Then press on the Appearance selector and set the appearance option you want for the Indicator selected above. The Text color item is active if you set "Fixed color" for an Indicator. Choose "Not shown" for any indicator that you don't want to be displayed, including the status icons.Quote:Autostart on power on is still missing
battery indicator doesn't work on the P910Yes. See the feature list above for stuff included in this beta. Autostart, battery indicator for P800 and P910, decreased power consumption, and others will be addressed later.Quote:When a new sms is received the "you have 1 sms" screen appears above the screen saver. Pressing ok will get you to the message application (even thought the keys are supposed to be locked)Yes, that part still needs improvement, on the to do list.

@petrosk73
At least this way of overriding the key lock this common even with the normal P800 keylock - you can open new messages and therefore access the whole phone but when you quit (fc) the keylock is already/still active. Same with P9XX?

Same with P9XX?Yes, same. Actually, the programmer guy just explains me that FrontView currently lets the regular SMS notifier come up as it is a more prominent notification than anything else, and from that point the behavior is follows the default until you come out of that notification when FrontView takes over again. We are currently unsure if anything and then what would be better. (Note: we also have to take care of not hurting the normal behavior too much!)

First impression is great......i can not confirm or not confirm the battery life being bader ???

very nice that whne you go to FO that the app is in the back ground, so you have one lest screen point......

am/pm also gone in 24 mode, great.....looks much better......

also the jog dial short cuts is great, the exit on back bug is also confirmed.......

.....let you know if i have some more pointers.....

I got angry a lot of times of this sms-'mal'function because it made keylock ridicolous (and the usual things were going on when not having noticed that new message came up and carrzing the phone around in the pockets..). IŽd appreciate the keylock would 'survive' even new messages - though it would be change in behaviour again..

So far very impressive - I have rarely seen a developer take such a serious interest in the opinions of people on this forum, and it seems obvious that CPS are taking our comments seriously and acting to rectify everything that is pointed out.

This is truly the way to end up with applications that we want and features that we need, and I just hope that other software companies will take note; Hey, it would be even better if paid some attention but let's keep the aspirations realistic

A thought about the program draining the battery faster......

....i am not 100% sure but i know when the phone is standing in its cryb and you are running FrontView, almost evrytime the minute changes it seems like that the clock disappers for a sec then comes back, kinda like a small blink......this must (as far as i know) drain power (if you are not charging of course).....however i am not sure if it does this when you have it in your pocket.....but then again if it is....:/

first thoughts...

The changes are great, and a huge improvement.

I still have the following issues:
1. It is not possible to unlock the screen using the jog dial. (Forward or back, then in.)
2. If you wait long enough, the inbuilt lock activates, and you have to unlock it (using Ok then #, or the Jog-dial foreard the in) then you have to unlock FrontView with OK then #.
3. if I open the call list, FrontView suspends. If I call one of the entries on the list, then end the call, FrontView resumes. However if I don't call any of the entries, and just close the call list, FrontView does not return until I open and close the flip
4. already noted... can't close the app list with the jog-dial

cosmetic things:
1. I would prefer not to be notified when 0 apps have been closed.
2. I would prefer that the text within the indicators was centred in the box rather the the current left alignment. If not, a little more padding on the left would help.
3. I would prefer to simplify the boxes around the indicators to allow them to be bigger, and in turn to allow slightly larger text.

wish list
1. I would love to be able to configure the list of apps, not just choose from the 5 on the normal flip closed list. (Also allowing more than 5)
