Just got back from our service center a few hours ago, and left my K700 with them to update it (and clean/polish it and the lens, too). I asked them with FW is it, they said it's R2AE, and that's it's new and came out last Thursday

. They also notified me that all will stay intact except for messeges which will be deleted for some reason.
Will let you all know how it turns out tomorrow after I get it back

@krnboy32:
You are not supposed to be able to use the home update service and get the wrong firmware.
Press and hold the power button for more than 10 seconds. Release the button, wait a while and try to turn the phone on.
If this does not help, remove the battery and leave it outside the phone for a few minutes. Re-insert the battery and try to turn on the phone.
If this does not work, you ought to start the update again and select Recovery Mode.
If there is still no life in the phone after Recovery Mode, I guess your next step would be a service centre.

I have a SE K700i Branded Orange. Can I take this to SE or CPW to get it upgraded to R2AE033 without losing the branded and my personal details?

Donīt want to start any personal talk here. I said "IF you are stupid enough". Didnīt say he was stupid.
IF all of the people that update the phone at home didnīt have so much of a hurry, then we donīt even have to have this discussion.
IF everyone would have checked all drivers, do EXACTLY as is says in the instructions we shouldnīt even have a problem
This would be my last reply to you since I DO NOT INTEND TO GO DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL . Just like everyone else I rant and rave about my phone and se in general since I've been an se user since the arrival of the t68..This forum and it's members has been very helpful to me and I do my part in helping others too! But I never think of people asking questions as STUPID,LAZY OR CARELESS. Thats why forums exist so people can help each other one way or another.If you think you're so smart and know everything hang out with geeks dude!

Problem resolved. Some themes needed to be deleted and copied in again after updating the firmware to R2AE..

So one person that we know of has gotten R2AE, and they got it from CPW, not an

Not easiest is buy a SE Client with some logs and T28 cable and do it safely in home?
