Hey Jools, did that v800 info I sent help out? Do you want me to see if there are other syncing files? Maybe one for iCal?

The difference between my PhonePlugin MetaClasses.plist and the one in the first post of this thread is there's an additional entry:
Code:
<dict>
<key>ServiceName</key>
<string>com.apple.synchro</string>
<key>ServiceProperties</key>
<dict>
<key>MaxFirstNameAndLastName</key>
<integer>29</integer>
</dict>
</dict>
I figured the K750 and V800 might be more closely related than the K750 and K700 (on which the original MetaClasses.plist modification was based).
So it appears the K750 needs to know about the 29 character(?) limit on First and Last names. (None of my contacts hit this limit, but adding it seems to have done the trick).
Anyway, I guess there may be some other 'limits' in the iCal data that needs syncing. I'm going to try syncing an empty iCal and work up from there...
If you find any files that may help, send 'em over!!
I think this PhonePlugin method is better than actually modifying the iSync.app. I guess this is how its officially supposed to be done.

Any ideas where to look for these files?
By the way, just added 512 mb to my PB Ram. Have to admit is runs really nice. Sort of like opening up a window and letting fresh air in.

To be honest, I have no idea! I can't find anything relating specifically to Calendar syncing...
Yeah, RAM is the single best upgrade you can do on Mac OS X. Stops chugging so much!

No luck with that method here Jools - followed instructions to the letter but I'm having some weird behavior - my K750i shows up with a K700i-ish icon in iSync (dunno if with your method it should use the correct icon) and the error I get is still as per below... any thoughts?

I can post the phone info for my s700i if this would help. I am not sure if I posted it, but let me know

@ Hoziedude:
Hmmm... While I was messing about with the PhonePlugin I had a generic icon appear once and iSync wouldn't add the device (said it wasn't supported). I started again, deleted all and everything to do with iSync and Bluetooth, restarted the computer, moved the PhonePlugins folder from the Users/username/Library/ folder to the main Library/ folder and it started working.
It definitely should have the correct icon.
Try repairing permissions with Disk Utility and maybe moving the PhonePlugins folder to the Users/username/Library/ folder instead and back again...
Also, whenever I got that channel error I had to restart the phone to get rid of it...

Really strange - tried all of that... there are definitely permissions issues at work as Disk Utility corrects loads of them on the iSync files but whatever I do with the PhonesPlugin folder iSync doesn't seem to pick up the K750.tiff file correctly... Would you mind double-checking the folder you uploaded to make sure it contains everything it does on your comp? Thanks dude...

I just double-checked the download and all is ok. You can check that you've got the icon yourself too... it's in:
PhonePlugins/SonyEricssonK750.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources/SEK750.tiff
Is it adding the phone to the iSync window? Just without the icon? And you're sure the complete 'PhonesPlugin' folder (not just the contents) is in the 'Library' folder?
I'm really not sure what's going on! I hope Apple sort this out soon...

In the meantime, I've reinstalled iSync from the Tiger install CD using pacifist - that cleared up my permissions issues. However, I still get the generic phone icon instead of the K750i one and still fail to sync my contacts or iCal...
Just to triple-check, I put the PhonePlugins folder inside ~/Library and NOT inside User/Library... Haven't touched any of the files, deleted pairing from phone and comp, etc etc... still no worky here...
I do have the K750.tiff file in that folder but iSync doesn't seem to pick it up for some strange reason - it just uses the generic one.
