Can totalserver do the k750 to w800 conversion via the standard k750i usb cable, or do you need to use a different cable?

questions on k750i to w800i flash:

1) hows the speed overall?
2) camera quality including pics, and videos, the dpi, pixels, etc.?
3) music quality? media player?
4) battery consumption? and during music only mode?
5) voice/speaker, during a call?
6) gprs?
7) how do u sync? since no pc suite for w800 yet (will the pc suite for k750i work?
OK:
1) IMO, I feel the navig is smoother/slicker now.
2) Quality on par with K750i - camera is the same (CMOS sensor using
version 4.4)
3) I tend to think that the mp3 playback is all round 'richer' in sound.
4) Batt life improved in 'Music Only' mode.
5) Earpiece volume on par with K750i R1J/R1L FW.
6) Only O2 user will experience GPRS/MMS probs until new W800i FW
is released.
7) Sadly, no sync until W800i drivers become availble. (Some links are
appearing on forums but they seem to be drivers for the newly
released W800c

you mean once you have upgraded to w800 you can't communicate with your pc and so can't return to the k750 fw??

Surely the supplied USB cable is suitable for firmware upgrades, as it is used on the SEUS website when doing an official update... ther eis a client on davinci website which says it can be used with the cable, and I have connected it up, and it will read the info from the phone - so it must work..??

All I need now are the w800 firmware files!!! I think???

davinci only works with official red w800 firmware, witch they dont have yet.

Just to wake this thread back up.

Converted my and a friends K750i's to W800i's today using totalserver.net.

Works fine, except of course we're both on O2 so MMS and WAP no longer work

But the bugs I had on the K750i firmware - even though updated - seem to be gone (forgetting shortcuts, etc).

Will see how it reacts with my BT Carkit tonight. K750i was being dodgy this morning, so let's see how the W750i does

I hope the L version comes out soon though, as I dunno how long I can last without MMS!

Interestingly, everything on the phone is wiped - apart from Bluetooth paired devices. Thought that was a little random! Saves me redoing the CK later I 'spose!

And before anyone asks, used the Cruiser cable, not the normal SE one - its not possible ok
