you are right
think the only difference is that the "grey" phones are imported by individuals and not the "offical" way....

I'm going to try it (CHA-10) tomorrow, but I think there is no problem.
I bought it for r320 and as I know - all accessories are compatible.
MP3 HF (HPM-10) works fine.
