Doggman is class, I started clapping whilst I was reading, honestly that was some of the best arguments raised, which I have ever seen in an internet forum.
The truth is, religion is the cause of some the most disgusting conflicts ever occured in human history. The last couple of weeks has shown me some of the most biassed and ignorant people who I have ever come across. There are people so ignorant on this forum, they will brand Jews as pigs, and have their nation wiped of the earth, yet are all silent when a muslim straps a bomb to his back and blows up 50 innocent people.
From the mentality of some of the people on the forum, Palastenians are saints and Israel is a nation full of evil racists, hell bent to wipe Palasteinans of the map. Seriously grow up and get a grip. Both sides are as bad as eachother. I have brought this up a lot of times, but im gonna bring it up again. My family could hate every Turk in the world but they dont. I can even admit the Greeks were not necessarily innocent during the invasion of Cyprus. Thats the thing though, every one seems to be the victims when both sides are just as bad as eachother. Its a laughable reality. The thing is though, at least Greeks and Turks can be freinds and refuse to fight eachother in todays world regardless of centuries of conflict. After the invasion not one bomb was dropped in Turkey. However this is not the case with Jews and Arabs is it!? Oh no, it is endless conflicts and even today you will here muslims talk the most disgusting, racist rubbish about Jewish people.
Religion is like a big magnet when it comes to peace. However this magnet does not attract, it only repels, seperating it as far away from peace as possible!

It's a crying shame that some people equate Muslims with terrorists, 99.9% of all muslims i know are honest, decent respectable people, man, i wish us non muslims had an ounce of the basic family values, work ethic, and basic respectfulness shown by them, i spend a lot of time on facebook these days, and i assure you that all the bile, venom i see expressed comes from Jewish members, NOT muslims!!

We Muslims believe in all books sent by God and all prophets (peace be upon them all) and we would not discriminate or say evil about anyone and the teachings of the final prophet Muhammad (pbuh) teaches us these besic morals in detail.
Now, these wars are not the cause of religion, its the humans who have made it look like its the religions that are to blame, the minority of muslims who think killing people/suicide bombing is a good thing are WRONG and this is not the belief of all Muslims, but thanks to the western media Islam has been replaced with the word terrorism and many have been brainwashed, and so it seems by reading this topic.
One thing i would say guys, if you want to know what Islam is about don't watch SKY news or BBC or the UK papers, go to the source of the faith which is the Holy Quran and the teachings of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Its that simple.

Please there are good and bad people of every faith and Religion and i agree most Muslims that follow the teachings of Allah do indeed lead a highly moral life. But unfortunately they are not the ones that are extremists and terrorists and it is these people that give Islam a bad name.
But i have yet to see the state of Israel call for the destruction or wiping out of the Palestinians the same can not be said of the terrorists or Islamic extremists as shown by some even in this thread.

Once again now i have pointed out several times that Hamas are the aggressors the ones who broke the ceasefire and the ones who launched Rocket attacks on innocent civilians. Just what reaction did you expect from Israel just to continue to let the attacks happen?
There were many opportunities for Hamas to stop the rocket attacks before Israel was forced to take more drastic action all they had to do was stop launching rockets.
Israel didn't just invade they spent days massing troops and giving Hamas a chance to call a ceasefire once again after they broke the last one and to stop launching rockets. They didn't so just what choice did Israel have but to take action to stop the attacks. Israel didn't start the attacks they reacted to the Hamas aggression and defended their citizens as any country would do.
Only one party launched rocket attacks and only one party doesn't want to talk peace and calls for the destruction of its neighbor and it's people there is your guilty party clear and simple and it's not Israel is it?

Forget about what religion someone is, i know many law abiding, respectable Muslim's on this forum who are genuinely nice people and they don't deserve to be stereotyped into something there not because of lunatics with no morals or value for human life.
