I had this problem as well (on one side only). One call to my provider (where I got the phone) and they came by (!) and replaced the phone with a new (or extremely well refurbished) one. Simple warranty issue. Judging by their reaction over the phone, the problem was known to them. Only pain was to re-register all those programs that use the IMEI ...

unfortunatly my phone has not been looked after well - and although i do believe this to be a warranty issue - i don't think any1 nin there right mind would replace mine for a new one. which is why i'm gonna have to make a claim with my insurance.

update - got a brand spanking new p900 from o2 gold insurance. had to pay £25 but it was worth it. not only has the re-sale value of my phone gone up but the fw is the generic one and not the o2 customised.
also means i have a spare battery and charger now, even sent me another 32mb duo (not that i'll use it). although they didn't send me a stylus which i thought was weird, so i've still only got one. might give them a ring about that...

Nothing has happened to my P900 till now ... hoping nothing will happen for some time more ... the P900 has been the best every investment of my life (well, i am not that old now).

I've never had a problem with the plastic snapping off on my P900, but for those that do, have you considered putting a thin strip of metal underneath the area of the frame where the keypad makes contact?
If you did this then i'm sure the frame wouldn't snap even if you close the flap quite violently.
This should remove the gap between the frame and the screen, and as the plastic frame won't be able to move downwards (restricted by the metal), then there will be a minimal chance of it breaking.
What do you guys think?

Instead of a metal piece, how about a sponge layer? With a bottom sticky side? Fix it to the frame where the otherside of the keypad comes in contact, then you sorted!
I'll post a pic...
