This is very cool - >128mb IS possible on the P900... Now it is just a matter of buying a SE Fighter (When I can afford it - 300.00 USD!!!) and doing the deed...

This is exciting.

i can't wait to hear SE's response on this matter. as for reverting back to p900 for warranty purposes...i think it should be possible using the recovery option on p900 update service website. only thing that worries me is whether some kind of internal log on the phone may allow SE to see what FW's were flashed on this phone. but this is unlikely IMO.

btw, gbrooks, did you also use the P910a or P910i firmware? i will upgrade much later i think. i want to wait till p910 bugs are discovered and fixed in the p910i firmware, then i will flash.

also, i'm worried about SE releasing some RSA-type protection against botting the new phones and flashing them, kind of like for the k700i. if a "new" p900 firmware comes out on the SE website, i suspect all it will do is enable this boot-bypass protection on the phone and add no real fixes.

but time will tell, all i'm saying now is my assumptions and thoughts.

posted on Hofo it's stated that the firmware was modified to suit the P900. The offical P910 firmware will not work it is said.

The main thing though is that it we now know the P900 can accept the Duo PRO

@petrutms
Apparently you need SE Fighter to upgrade the P900 to a P910, available here http://www.unlockcellular.com

There is someone ("anlog") at HowardForums that is upgrading the P900 to P910 for $25 (+ $10 return shipping); he is in California. Check the HoFo thread for this person: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=453090

Dude, why would SE allow a 512mb card on the P800 and then screw P900 owners by only allowing 128mb? (Probably so they could release this P910 and claim it is an upgrade... Bastards!)

@Punk

Sorry geez. dont believe you or anyone else that says that theyre using larger memory sticks that the phone is capable of using. ive had both p900 and p800 since release date 2 years ago and have tried many combinations. Prove it if you can!!!

btw. Cheers gbrooks3, nice work.
