If SE really have contracts with qualcomm, then bye bye outdated tegra 2 hello snapdragon msm8660

Would MWC2011 have a 3D big fire?

Any chance that the PSPhone in it's current form is using a placeholder CPU and SE are waiting for more solid details on this snapdragon to officially announce the S.E XP (Z1)?

Nope. Zeus will have same CPU as Arc. No dual core.

I'm afraid that the Xperia play would most likely fail if the PSP2 comes out first in the market. In terms of specifications, the Xperia play is far behind the rumoured PSP2 except maybe in the camera. I just hope Sony and Sony ericsson had some sort of agreement that both devices will not compete with each other. I mean, the PSP2 will have the higher price tag while the less-spec Xperia play would fall in the safer price bracket.

wasn't talking about xperia play, but about hallon or another one as HTC and SE are using the latest qualcomm's hardware.
@Shino03: I think that Sony is going to scew SE up, as there won't be a merge with these phones so it is going to be a fail (who will wate for the xperia play while psp 2 is going to be launched).

maybe im wrong but i think the PSP 2 will have the same price of the PSP 1000: €200-250 and the X.play will cost much more

But I wouldn't be surprised if Xperia Play was released by mid Q2. PSP2 according to that articles sources will be out by Christmas, giving Xperia Play a good 6 month headstart. Most phones nowadays can only expect 6 months of good sales, such is the pace of progression.

They target two different consumer bases.
The PSPhone targets the more "Casual" gamers (i.e. the iPhone crowd) who play something during their commute for a couple of hours a day and more importantly, are not willing to pay more than a few dollars for a game.
The PSP2 is targeted towards the more "Serious" gamer, who plays several hours a day, wants graphics almost as powerful as full size consoles and is willing to pay more for the titles. He also doesn't believe in convergence and prefers to save the phone battery for phone like functions.
I'll find myself in the second group too, but there are a lot of people in the first group as well. The PSP2 will almost certainly have Skype with video calling and perhaps a 3G radio, but it's no replacement for a pure phone.
Assuming things are as I expect them to be, Sony/ SE have played their cards well.
