AFAIK it is the latest; 06-10-09 (R1BB041) but I will check again later in case there's been an update since the 6th October. Checking the firmware on SEUS was the first thing I did almost!
I just realised that the Facebook app and Twitter app shown in the Carphone Warehouse catalogue is shown on the box of the Satio - but isn't on the phone and can't be downloaded anywhere. Now I know SE has rushed this out to make the promised week 40 shipping date.
Wow, it's like Samsung not having half the features on the first release of the I8910 HD (still not on the Orange firmware).

I have read somewhere that Sony Ericsson's Face Book app is quite slow to use. It does not update live either

I have no battery issue. But then I dont use power sucking apps so much. I charged yesterday and still have ~70-80% left after 20-30 pics and some wifi web surfing.

They should've crammed a larger battery in there, at least a 1500 mAh.

Would it be possible to buy a larger capacity battery?

And have it twice as thick and 50% heavier?

Am i right in saying the battery will need a few charges before you get the best from it?

I am not sure weather thats just a myth. Am i right in saying Sony Ericsson Lithium Polymer batteries dont suffer from the memory effect? Or am i talking rubbish?

Yep you're right. My N81 uses a 1050mAh Li-Polymer batt and K850 a 930mAh Li-Polymer batt i charge both even if they are at 50% sometimes and they still give great batt life.

also considering i used both phones whilest they were charging when i got them.

i Think the memory effect is something that was taken care of in Lithium batts.

Is it just a myth when shops say you gotta charge you new phones battery up for 16 hours? Shops here always say it when you buy a new phone. Surely when a battery is full its full?
