Ok I have just removed this camdriver. Sometimes this strange line appears in my photos when I use zoom so better don't risk with this.
kelace good luck !!!
chris can you remove ONLY EM from number1 new mod camdriver? Please leave sharpness or other modifications? Please

bund, quite simple :
get the "chris release c" version on page 1,
search for the :
//================================================
// OTHER SEQ
//================================================

and just remove the two slash for each line :

intead of
// #COM_EVENT(56,04) //Sharpness 4
// #COM_EVENT(55,01) //Contrast 1

you get
#COM_EVENT(56,04) //Sharpness 4
#COM_EVENT(55,01) //Contrast 1

and that's it !
So you have 24fps mod and sharpness/contrast enabled.
You can even play with these 2 numbers, 4 and 1

Thanks for your advice chris
Ok I am going back to your first mod.
When I take a picture, choose "preview photo", use zoom and push the arrow button sometimes black line appears in my photos (screen). Doe's anybody have this same? When I read posts above I started to be afraid of my cam module so maybe better wait for the proffesional opinion about the relation between moded camdriver and crash cammodule risk.

hi all, I´ve been following this post since two weeks ago, looking for some kind of instructions to how change the camdriver file from my k550i, but I did not find any info about that.

I´ve tried with the Far manager (and the SEFP plugin db2020), but I can´t copy files to backup in my PC. Because that, I´m afraid to replace the file and can´t revert it later.

Could one of you indicates the better way to me do that? I´m looking for better photos with my k550i, and now my software version is the 2.2.

I´m thinking about update the firmware too..but it´s other discussion... :S

tks a lot!

I think 2.4A still is best for now :

and a comparation with K800 and K550 2.4A :
K550

K800

Whats your idea ?
I think the Version 2.4A have a 4 problem only :
1 - Its not sharp enough
2 - In Portrate and Night portrate mode have not enough focus scan range
3 - In landscape and Night landscape mode if we can change infinite to normal its bee best
4 - It can not take a normal photos in night mode it sooo por

@ salambaba

woh nice photos !!!! so again k550i proves its worth ...... it can really take on its big brothers k810i and k790i in daytime pics .....

BUT I THINK THE NIGHT MODE CAN NEVER BE IMPROVED BEYOND A LIMIT AS K550i has a small camera module compared to those in K790 AND K810 and K70i. .......

Anyway the pics in daytime are amazing with k550i .......

good work .....

Hello:) Nice pictures:)
I agree with your comments and I went back to 2.4a camdriver too yesterday:)
I think k550i is good for macro photos at this moment, but landscape photos are difficult to make. Lack of sharpness
