I know this doesn't help much but I've been using an imported P990i over the O2 network in the UK for over a month now and haven't had any problems so I think "passing vigourous testing" is a red herring.

I think that I will wait for monday, then if o2 give me another date, my PAC code will be on the way!

o2 still do the best deals on p990i Vodafone are too expensive you have to get a 50 pound tarrif for free phone,

Maybe just go to onestopphoneshop.com or e2save?

anyone seen any other good sites and deals on p990 for monday backup!!

Did you see any O2 people at the pub, I reckon that's where they are... certainly not working on getting the P99Ti out...

To be honest, I got my P990 for free on VF and that is on a £25 a month for 12 months.. and I know plenty others...

When you phone them, you get all the yadda yadda, and a offer that is quite poor.. but if you go to a VF store, they have different rules, and can do whatever they like.... I'm pretty sure you can get one for free if you haggle enough.

To keep me from leaving, they have given me another month's free line rental. So they are losing money for failing to release a phone. How stupid.

Apparently the problem is the phone does not pair with the O2 3G network very well and as a result they are not releasing it until they resolve the issue.

How true, up to you we are talking about O2 CS
