that bunch of crap you bought, didn't forced you to buy that phone. i bet you had the opportunity to test the phone before you bought it. you should have realized then it's not worth the money. don't blame now that the phone sucks

True, but we didn't pay for 'potential'.... We paid for what SE promised was a reality.

What Lisa is saying is that all this has a greater picture...most of us still like SE, and we would like them to change the bad things they are doing now and focus on making great devices like they can

So, lets hit them the more we can right now, not to "destroy" them, but for making of a SE the company we use to know

Hey, yesterday i read the Swedish customer law, and it says that a product that doesn’t work as promise. The product is wrong and the customer have the right to request repayment.

I wonder if there’s anyone that can help me finding out things that this phone was suppose to do, but cant, or things that don’t work correctly.

here is the law, in swedish:

@Charlieef, the same laws are valid in Turkey. I have been stating this fact over several forums, we do have the right for a refund based on invoice price.
However, I also agree with the past few posts. Our aim is not to destroy SE but get them to make the P990 what was promised to us. If they can't do that then they should shoulder some of the blame and try to provide some kind of solution to us.
However, if SE continues the "ignore and it will go away" approach instead of standing behind its product, I think we have every right to defend our investment that we paid dearly for.

Hi guys,

This is my first post, maybe a little bit OT, but it is related by a strange behavior of my P990 with R6D23 fw and SMP 1.51!

The circumstances are as follows:
1. restart the phone
2. start SMP 1.51. I placed it’s icon instead of the battery meter and task manager icons
3. on the main screen touch the clock side of the SMP icon (FO), select Tools and directly Reclaim Memory
4. in a couple of seconds a frame appears with no buttons and the name of the window is Phone! If Phone application was started before step 3. then this app will come up instead of the blank Phone window
5. after Phone app shows up SMP releases a great amount of memory. If you repeat step 3 then is highly possible that more RAM to be released. Now I use to release more RAM in this way. No End all task, no End background tasks in Tools menu of SMP, but the step 3. above. In this way when I start the phone I get ussualy around 14MB free and after two successive reclaim memory I used to get around 17MB!

I wonder if one of you guys, could confirm this behavior!

OTOH I love my P990i as piece of hardware, but I hate SE inhability to provide a reliable fw for it, and I also hate SE arrogance which we, their “sources of incomes” have to support!

CYA,
